yay new comp!
and I realised I haven't posted in a while.
damn lazy argh.
maybe also cos I've been very distracted by the elections and whatnot. lol.
I shall not post political commentary here. cos seriously there's no point and I'm way too tired.
neither shall I attempt to pick up from where I left off in the previous post cos really I can't remember. oops. and it's been so long anyway.
plus it's also so bloody hot now that I don't feel like doing anything at all.
must be the weather telling us to REPENT.
grah.
ok so basically in that post-chemO period mainly just went about my normal life - getting home early and slacking. managed to finish quite a few books along the way. bill bryson is good. but I realised I can't do lit lit and instead go for more of things with an interesting plot.
yeah I'm shallow.
however just as I thought I'd be able to slack I get called for IChO interview - which was seriously a waste of time - they were asking questions like why do you like chemistry / how did you come to like chemistry and stuff ._. - but at least it allowed me to miss cheng! and now I find out I'm going to turkey.
which means no more slacking. and mr lee seems all out to kill me with all the work he's giving to us.
crap.
so yeah I was supposed to be reading a few chapters of keeler and wothers tonight but yeah it was too hot and I spent about half an hour playing with the lights on my comp (yeah it has a lot of LEDs) so I just gave up.
this is a very very bad start to things. argh.
I need some form of motivation lol.
and I realised a whole bunch of my commitments will end up clashing in the end part of term 2 / early june.
oh no. and it's too late to pull out of most of them.
ok nevermind something will work out somehow. lol.
ok time to go sleep.

blah must not let this blog die.
and I should stop procrastinating whenever I feel like posting something. so there.
k let's see what's been going on - wednesday was an extremely boring day. but at least we're done with vectors I. problem is vectors II doesn't look like it'll be going any faster.
so weds was a very empty and rather boring day. I finally went for oneearth for the second time in the year though. they were electing! so bessie and I helped ask very fun questions. then we crashed the vote counting and there was quite a bit of drama. how fun.
oh and dell finally released the m11x r3. like one day after my previous post. now to get my mum to buy it for me XD.
ok that aside hmm wednesday was boring. thursday became friday. but cheng and ms poh both weren't in school so it wasn't that bad lol. plus there was no H3 so I ended at 220. yay.
but on thursday itself - mock spa was irritating. cos my NaOH bottle was leaking. so every time I tried to add some into the test-tubes it kept spilling over my hands and the test-tube rack and the table and all that. and the thing with NaOH is that it refuses to wash off your hands. and you can't quite wipe it off stuff either cos it just remains soapy and all that. plus if you have NaOH all over the place it ends up messing with your red litmus. so things got very irritating. thus ended up adding dil HNO3 / HCl (cos I was running out of HNO3) all over the place to get stuff off instead. which actually worked much better. and actually the dilute acids in the lab when you touch them they don't feel like anything. unlike the bases.
so by then it wasted quite a bit of time. then with the nitrogen compounds part of the experiment - basically you have a mess of solutions containing NH4+ / NO2- and NO3- and you have to identify which ones have which - everything involved heating the solutions. so the first solution I heated had NH4+ in it. so there was a LOT of NH3 evolved. which ended up turning all my red litmus papers (that I'd prepared and left on the bench as per wty's advice) blue ._. zzz.
by then I was so irritated that I couldn't bother driving off all the NH4+ in that tube so that I could test for nitrate so I just threw in Al foil inside and smelled it again.
lol.
for the next two test-tubes I heated both too much. so the NaOH + random solution mixture ended up spurting all over my hands. twice. so first one I put the test-tube down and went to wash my hands and whatnot. but after the second time I just couldn't be bothered and let it linger. cos really 100°C isn't all THAT hot. plus it was less than 1cm³ of solution anyway. and I had a pract to complete (by then I was really behind schedule - even kewei was ahead of me already). and really the more irritating bit is just the NaOH making everything feel soapy again. and thus messing with my red litmus papers. I think I used at least 25 pieces of those things during the mock SPA. so eventually I just gave up on testing for NH3 and used my nose instead.
it seems that I have some affinity for NaOH. or vice versa. but hey NaOH was still better than that NaBH4 disaster during the chemO pract. cos got quite a bit of anhydrous NaBH4 onto my skin during the pract without realising it. then after a while it started eating into the skin and whatnot. like it was actually stuck on my hands. ow.
also for this SPA they labelled the solutions FA0 1 2 and 3. so my FA1 test-tube was the one that spurted out and lost most of its contents thus I had to redo the test. but I was thinking of it as the SECOND test-tube thus I went to do everything with FA2 instead. which again messed me up quite abit. and resulted in me redoing everything and realising my mistake. oops.
then the organic QA since I was really rushing I just did what wty told us to do and identified by smell. then just a few confirmatory tests for the fun of it - Mg powder to the acid and 2,4-DNPH to the alcohol (in case my nose was failing me and it was actually a ketone - which it wasn't). then of course had to do iodoform test for the ketone / aldehyde / alcohol to get the structures (and I HOPE I didn't write triiodoform during the pract - which I have a strange feeling I did). so to expedite the iodoform test for the alcohol I stuck the test-tube in the flame for a bit (couldn't be bothered with the boiling water bath). which did expedite things a lot.
inorganic QA was rather fun and doable. just that sometimes you have to imagine a white ppt with Ca(OH)2. thus at the end of the whole thing since I rushed too much I discovered I had 10 minutes to spare. which basically entailed checking that everything I'd written was (largely) legible.
so after mock spa and all the washing up wty wanted to debrief us straightaway (i.e. scold people like pig who tried to cool a very hot test tube (after heating it and all that) by placing it in hot water. obviously it cracked ._.) thus when he finished his debrief the bell rang and we all hadn't cleaned up yet. so everyone was late for math and thus shangyi got rather irritated.
hmm so after friday ended I had nothing to do. so at about 230 went to the library and spent an hour and a half talking to random people inside (jem / yatyg / linsen / chew / wilbert / yap / chentian / stacey / guo). then at about 4 met the j1 mathRAs and decided to crash mathsoc interviews. lol. so ended up running errands (in mengshi's words) for them. which basically involved looking after the mathsoc j1s who were waiting outside for their interview. and of course "looking after" = playing cards. which we did until about 6+. then stayed back to talk to people and say hi to those who were going for the piano concert. then stalked shangyi with kang for a bit. then went home at 730. thus I wasted about 5 hours in school on thursday.
(not like I'd anything to do but still.)
yeah and my H3 finals are this monday! so I probably ought to start mugging.
hmm on friday I woke up at 1pm. then spent the day on the com reading random websites as usual. so didn't do much.
today I woke up at 1130. which was an improvement over yesterday. but spent most of today up to now watching stuff on youtube. and eating lunch.
now I'd probably go mug. bleh. but I'm pretty screwed for geopol anyway.
argh whatever.

413 / blah
hongen says my blog is too dead.
so I shall post more often!
weather today was horrendous. was totally hot. and had chemO training in b53 at 1230pm with the aircon spoilt and all the windows closed. and it was after lunch no less. and I'd run out of water by then.
so fell asleep about 3 times. and couldn't really pay much attention. bleh. and was just counting down the time until it ended and I could get out of the classroom and into some fresh air. argh yeah it was that bad.
and the weather is still damn bloody hot now at 10pm.
but then again it also didn't help that I slept at 1am on monday.
lol.
ok what happened - monday PE got cancelled AGAIN so had a double free block. ate breakfast in the first one and thus wasn't hungry enough to eat again during the second one (which incidentally is the scheduled lunch block). so after that geog - which is really getting more and more boring but I keep forcing myself to go cos I know that there's still quite a bit of content that I haven't gotten to yet. and I'm too lazy to self-read of course. so just sit in tutorial and listen. and rot.
after geog was math lecture - CCP went as slowly as she always does. 7 lectures already and we're still not done with vectors I.
(not that I'm looking forward to vectors II especially since the only person whose geom is worse than mine is ziyang's but we're all getting bored of her already.)
after that was 1h30 of time-wasting in GP. spent half the lesson talking about globalisation of music and the other half was spent watching an admittedly decent documentary. but considering how most teachers are moving on to skills already and we've barely started on global issues...
then after GP ended had lunch at 3. lol. thankfully there was still food left.
went to the library and grabbed a few books after that - I'm finally working my way through the list of books I want to read lol. then redcross for an hour and then down to NUS.
reached NUS about 1740 then tutorial from 6pm to 8pm+++. boring.
and I realised how screwed I am for H3 considering that the bellcurve will be very steep since he's giving all the H3 students As and A-es. and I very certainly didn't get an A for the project I rushed in 3 hours and submitted 4 minutes before the (supposed) deadline. blah whatever.
so after that was done we got to the bus stop at 820 and got to buona vista at 840. reached compass point at 930 and again thankfully there was still food left. so had my dinner about then.
._.
then got home and stayed on the comp until 1am.
anyway the weekend - spent saturday / sunday slacking as expected. and sleeping late and waking up later. lol.
today - civics was ok physics lecture was bloody slow [thankfully it's a short topic and he's only taking 2 lectures] math tut was standard. then 2 blocks free cos PE got cancelled (yay) and we went to RI to eat. met eddie and said hi along the way.
then chemO training which I mentioned above already. then 2 more blocks free and then H3 chem.
which was bleh. astee talks very quickly but also about a lot of unnecessary things. so it ended late. ew. but not like most of us were paying attention anyway. was helping lzy come up with questions for his interact interview. and the whole bunch of 6I / 6L people (sans boonlay who self-excluded himself and yiyan who ponned and chew who was running) were talking the entire lecture about mainly random things. and helping ziyang make random GP-style questions. and we were right in front of her. (i.e. the first 2 rows of the front corner) - but don't think she minded much lol.
then after that home.
spent the night plotting redcross stuff again. and playing around with fireworks.
and my com is horribly slow.
blah.

412 / phew
finally done with all my H3 projects yesterday.
was kinda freaking out at about 2130 when I realised I had less than 3 hours to write 2k words. but thankfully managed to finish everything by 2355. although I felt that my writing got more incoherent the later it got.
so crashed at 1am and woke up 12 hours later. which felt good.
but then spent the rest of today doing absolutely nothing - with the H3 stuff all done and chemO (effectively) over already now I realised I don't have anything left.
and I don't have anything on me to read. (except textbooks and stuff. and I don't want to do any work any time soon). so I'm guessing I'll need to go down to the SFL on monday and grab more stuff. and borrow a movie.
lol.
then eventually I'll get round to sorting through my notes. and maybe start mugging. but that's a very distant possibility.
and maybe I should finally start considering scholarships and universities and all that. and maybe sign up for SATs and everything. and perhaps actually prepare for once.
hmm.
but not so soon.
maybe that's why I'm blogging now - cos I'm way too free.
ok so what's happened between the 12th and today:
chemO pract on weds was rather a disaster cos I went to fake results but made a huge error in writing the equation so the faking messed up. rather badly. oops.
thursday was rather boring - but by then I was already freaking out over my H3 stuff so wasn't paying much attention to what was happening in school and all that. so just rushed home when I could and worked.
but then I got distracted halfway again. so pushed things to friday with rather disastrous consequences.
friday - chem pract was funny cos wty had us identify the 4 organic compounds by smell first. and then the actual pract only took less than an hour. so since he didn't want to let us go for breakfast we spent the other hour watching cooking shows.
weird but still the images were very good. and we were all very hungry after that.
and it took my mind off h3 for a while.
so after everything ended rushed home and did work continuously until 11pm. which was quite an achievement. [ok fine I got distracted by youtube from 6 to 7 but whatever]. so sent off the first assignment at about 540. got distracted went for dinner and finally finished watching fahrenheit 9/11 at about 9+. and then freaked out again when I realised I had less than 3 hours to write 2k words on 2 films and link everything to geopolitics. plus I was rather sleepy by then.
so wasn't actually making much sense in the assignment - hope that he buys whatever I write though. just that yeah now that I think about it I could have elaborated and explained a lot more on whatever I was talking about. but then again half the module is taken by engineers so let's hope that my writing doesn't look too bad compared to theirs XD. so managed to complete that one (with quite a bit of help from bryan in summarising and editing XD) and sent it off just before midnight.
yay.
so today woke up at 1pm and had lunch ._.
then spent the rest of the day reading blogs and politics online. and eating and being very sedentary in general.
this is so not good if I want to pass my NAPFA the next time around.
meh.

crap I am damn screwed for H3.
basically got a class response and an individual project which together make up 40% of my final grade. both of which I haven't quite started on.
so the individual project was originally due yesterday but the deadline got shifted to this friday instead - which has given me some / quite a bit of breathing space. just that it's caused me to spend the entire past weekend slacking.
and now I realise all I have left is today night, tomorrow night (after chemO pract no less) and thursday evening to finish everything. and maybe friday if I skip CCA. which I really shouldn't be doing. but still.
and yeah now I'm blogging. yay.
hmm so what's happened since I last posted about 6 days ago - hmm the 7th passed without much incidence since I (somewhat) sneakily took it off facebook. lol. and I was really bored in school on that day since there wasn't much to stay back for. so just ended up loitering about until about 4pm. then went home and did nothing.
friday was rather uneventful as well - just tiring but then that's quite normal. saturday went down to school for some oneearth stuff which surprisingly went along rather productively. sunday was normal and monday was very very slack since I didn't have anything for protected time and no PE hence my first block started at 1140 ._.
yeah so these few days were rather free.
and now I'm paying for all the slacking that I've done.
ok off to continue with more geopolitics.
yuck.

blah scholarship fair today got me thinking about what I'm going to do about my life.
realised that there are so many different opportunities / scholarships / career paths / universities and courses out there. as compared to the past where everything was simple enough and / or laid out in front for me already - like going to RI / RJ; subject combi (even though it seemed very tough then actually the choice now looks quite obvious) and even things like enrichment programmes and competitions and all the other random stuff that I do - there really wasn't much of a choice lol.
and now it seems like there are so many different options to pick from - and I have no idea what to do. (well definitely not engineering or law or architecture though). each of which has its own characteristics and sets of pros and cons and whatnot - and all of which hold massive ramifications for / and will definitely end up shaping and influencing the next 4 - 6 years. at least. I mean each option does seem as fulfilling as the next. and all are equally plausible right now. hmm maybe I should just apply to every single stat board and whatnot and see what I can get.
so really it's like my life is at some sort of crossroads right now (ok fine many many many crosses and intersections. yuck this reminds me of vectors) and every path that I can take well leads somewhere that I don't know yet. oh fine I haven't actually reached that point yet still have 2.5 more terms of school to clear. but you get the drift. and need to start making some decisions soon.
*resists the urge to quote robert frost here*. especially since ALL the roads are not very taken. hmm.
also the thing is I realised I'm totally unprepared for what lies ahead - I have no idea of what to do / what I want to do. and of course of how things will turn out. so there's not much of a path laid out before me or anything. which is a bit scary. or overwhelming.
blah ok shall deal with it when the time comes to it.

hmm realised I haven't posted in quite a bit so shall update now (although I doubt people still read this thing):
chemO selection was a disaster - messed up the easiest question as well as both the organic ones. but whatever what's done is done and anyway there are other things I ought to bother myself with (refer to the list in the previous post). plus considering what lies ahead in the next few years (see above if you haven't already).
after chemO it was well a strange period of calm whatever - in a sense this feeling of emptiness (but not at all in a bad sense) - that it's all over and you're done - perhaps relief? or satisfaction? (but I know I should have done better). or just plain exhaustion from the whole thing itself.
well I think I've had enough chem to last me until the end of the year. if not longer.
so well yeah that lasted until about friday when the realities of my dire H3 situation started kicking in. so the assignment that's 25% of the grade is due on the 11th (i.e. IN FIVE DAYS TIME) and although I was supposed to spend monday and tuesday doing it / or at least getting started on it I haven't at all.
bah.
and I still have no idea what geopolitics is.
yeah so really thursday and friday were like a blur. edit: well fine it wasn't that slack - immediately after chemO cheng wanted us to do the GP CT [bring home and write and submit on thursday] so spent the night doing the planning and wrote most of it during first block. then took the geog CT in the afternoon (spent most of thursday's lessons trying to mug for it lol). so my hand died quite badly. and after that I kinda just crashed.
and at least I woke up at noon on friday. just remembered that there was no school. oops.
then saturday was gc finals. and they won. (more convincingly this time around though). so there's this whole sense of deja vu all over again. lol. quite happy for them seeing how everything did pay off in the end. just slightly worried about next year's batch. but that's like what how many months away? (hopefully I won't be in NS by then though).
ah yes so after saturday (also when I ate way too much during lunch and the dinner reception and at ice cream with OWL and clement after that) when I got home damn late and everything (plus I left the house at 7am! oh and did I mention I got a free trip to the zoo lol) I was quite dead. so spent sunday recovering.
hmm spent sunday night rushing cheng's holiday homework. (ugh) so slept at 1am.
then the next day got back the human part of geog CT (8.5 + 10) - we suspect the 8.5 is cos as a matter of principle she refuses to give anyone full marks for an essay. and 10 was cos I couldn't be bothered to do LORMS so just spammed points. so didn't manage to hit L3. which was kinda sad. but then the essay wasn't so good either so whatever. at least it's still an A.
monday was NAPFA as well. BBCDDE lol. (and actually the E wasn't really an E but she took sympathy on me and rounded up the 1.8 pull ups to 2). well fine it'd be BBCDDfail if they take the age as of april 8 or something. but since the test was on april 4... and considering that we did 5 stations after 2.4 (and I managed to get a C for that one ?!) it's quite ok. especially for my standards. so all I need to do now is to treble the number of pull ups I can do and then I'm not going in early.
then rest of monday was uneventful. just that monday night was spent chionging that irritating presentation for civics from 1230am to 1am. ok fine that actually counts as tuesday. whatever.
tuesday was also rather boring. especially both chem lectures. ew.
and today was as bad (just that I was less sleep-deprived this time around considering how I slept at about 10pm on tuesday). just that there were too many free blocks. and physics tutorials are seriously just the slackest things around.
1 more hour!
wonder if I'll be able to stay up till then.
I feel old.
realised that there are so many different opportunities / scholarships / career paths / universities and courses out there. as compared to the past where everything was simple enough and / or laid out in front for me already - like going to RI / RJ; subject combi (even though it seemed very tough then actually the choice now looks quite obvious) and even things like enrichment programmes and competitions and all the other random stuff that I do - there really wasn't much of a choice lol.
and now it seems like there are so many different options to pick from - and I have no idea what to do. (well definitely not engineering or law or architecture though). each of which has its own characteristics and sets of pros and cons and whatnot - and all of which hold massive ramifications for / and will definitely end up shaping and influencing the next 4 - 6 years. at least. 409 / not gonna make it
hmm saturday was mock geotrail. quite fun. just that went to ngee ann city / taka way too early to actually do anything. plus they were damn slow so I waited for VERY long outside the fountain. and helped quite a few tourists take photos ._.
meh.
then went down to sultan mosque - got lost on the way cos I forgot to look very closely at the map. but managed to deadhead there eventually lol. although it was damn bloody hot. but then the arab street area is quite nice. and food there was good lol.
sec3 geogRA kids seem pretty decent though.
then after that ended up panicking cos I was worried I couldn't get back down to school in time for PSC urgh. so cabbed down (total waste of money) and got there way too early.
zzz.
psc profiling was an utter waste of time. plus I was damn sleepy.
meh.
sunday didn't actually do anything.
so yeah I'm rather screwed now (if you haven't already inferred from the title of this post).
[decided to cut out the bit about chemO cos you've heard it way too many times and most probably wouldn't care either. meh. just know that I'm way screwed.]
just too tired (or lazy?) to do much at the moment.
and after chemO selection need to finish the GP CT at home to submit to cheng the next day ._. and also on thurs will be taking geog CT ._.
then friday is a grundy-warr marathon. urgh. and seriously the tutorials are a total waste of time. so like the only thing I've learnt is content (which is quite good but still...). and totally have no idea how I'm gonna do the final exam. meh.
then after friday need to do all the h3 assignments (40% bleh). and I think he doesn't like me. plus they require research and irritating things like papers so things are looking pretty bleak as well.
also got all of cheng's holiday homework due the following monday. and math CT on monday as well.
well after 23rd april at least I'm free of some of this bs.
if I can even get that far.
doubt I'll do very well this wednesday but whatever kinda expected it anyway.
---
THINGS TO DO AFTER GEOPOL / CHEM O ENDS [in order of the likelihood that I'll actually do them]
- watch return of the king
- rearrange urban package (to get rid of the useless readings)
- FILE all my notes (since my bag is asploding again. and I think I need a separate file for h3 and h2 chem)
- do something about my physical geog notes (which somehow got bound when OWL was zapping them)
- SLA spatial challenge!
- read atmo, weather and climate (good book but damn dry so I keep getting bored of it plus I don't even have any time)
- read urban geog book (ditto)
- play a lot more bridge
- start thinking about uni apps
- scholarship apps?
- read the (short) list of fiction that I've put on my phone to remind myself to borrow (eventually)
- write proper human geog notes
meh.

one more week.
and I keep falling asleep while trying to mug in the library ._.
so in the past 4 hours I've only finished 2 chapters of clayden.
(well fine I took about 45 min for breakfast and then about an hour facebooking / updating firefox.)
and RI-WLAN keeps disconnecting me.
meh.
this is very bad.
so like for 3 days already I've been getting to school at 7 and trying (key word here is trying) to keep myself in the SFL to mug chem.
which hasn't really been succeeding. as you might be able to tell.
and of course over the past month or so I've forgotten most if not all of my organic already.
and the org question is the one that's gonna kill me / differentiate. considering all the physical topics are just...
whatever at least I get to skip CTs. (especially GP). just that apparently chem was rather fun.
ok whatever back to clayden.
and then to bridge later on XD.
shall attempt to attempt a few spectro problems this afternoon.
hmm.

hmm haven't reached home before 9pm any time this week.
and they call this the holidays lol.
also I was supposed to be doing my h3 assignments and / or prepping for chemO selection. and yet I did neither. bleh.
[non-rc people can skip the part below you most likely won't get it lol]
got dragged into something that burnt most of weds thurs and fri. a lost cause perhaps. so actually it was none of my business.
but then again maybe it was entirely my business considering that I didn't do anything about it the whole of this year up till now.
but question is: is this even my responsibility in the first place?
also next question: why do I even continue to come back when I don't have to?
maybe it's the sense of belonging / attachment / responsibility that I have for this current batch of sec4s. and for the unit at large. or maybe it's just cos it's payback for my not having done much in sec3 or sec4 then. or perhaps it's also because I have nothing better to do with my life and I'm just bored and need something to do so might as well go do something meaningful [well to me at least]. or all of the above.
but after these 2 years when I look back what will I see / what would have I done?
did I really make that much of a difference lol.
I have no idea.
[ok the rest of you can continue reading from below]
I am in a sense a relic; someone who's past his time.
someone still clinging on to things that have long gone / that should have been let go off a long time ago.
so in a sense I guess I've been feeling very out-of-place these few days - not really fitting in into the present, be it in RJ or RI: the former since I never really was part of it in the first place (and/or since it's really a very short phase and I haven't fully had the chance to get used to it yet. well actually I have in some/most regards but then for things like the culture and whatnot - not really) and for the latter since things have changed so much since I left. bah.
so I just go about my life lingering on in a place that I shouldn't even be in.
while the rest of the world moves on.
yeah I'm damn sleepy now so apologies if this doesn't make sense.

hmm I have this feeling my com won't survive the month. lol.
and singtel really hates me. and vice versa.
but then again the internet is in a sense just a distraction and perhaps a means of escaping from the world at large. especially when all one does when one gets home is to just go on the com and stay there the whole night [as almost everyone does nowadays]. but then again it's also perhaps at the same time still a means of interaction with the world at large - and perhaps also exposes us to new areas / perspectives that we wouldn't otherwise be able to see (or at least not that easily lol). so maybe it's just doing what books did for an earlier generation. and maybe that's why I spend most of my time on wiki and stuff like nytimes.com. but yeah at the same time it's still perhaps an avenue away from the real world for most people. I think.
hmm but fiction does the same thing. so I'm not too sure.
but then the internet / the computer does tend to make us more distracted and less able to focus. yeah so those criticisms do hold. and perhaps what's more worrying is not the amount of time we spend online but rather this whole internet culture - to quote an NYT opinion piece I read not too long ago "[the internet can] bring out the worst in people. You’re straining after eyeballs, not big thoughts. So you go for the shallow, funny, contrarian or cynical."
also consider this:
"Why would I engage with people digitally whom I would never engage with actually? Why does the technology exonerate the kind of foul expression that you would not tolerate anywhere else?"
stomp is damn irritating.

ugh this is turning into a GP essay. just that I'm too lazy to string the arguments together so I'm just throwing stuff here and letting you connect the dots.
was at bridge camp today. was rather fun. but at the same time also kinda regret that I missed so much of bridge last year. so like it felt that this camp was also in a sense my camp ._.
I kinda messed up my CCAs last year lol. thanks to spending too much time at RI side. hmm. worth it? I dunno.
and of course it doesn't help that I haven't played bridge in about a month thanks to chemO and H3. and that some j1s are quite possibly already better than me.
lalala.
and this is weird I keep getting this sense of regret about not having done enough in j1. and I never got this feeling before / about any other year. maybe cos jc life seems particularly short. and maybe cos I wasted too much of it. or maybe cos it's my last year now so like inevitably I'm looking back and reflecting and all that. or maybe cos I really did mess up.
hmm who knows?
holidays are going to be quite horrible. need to mug for chemO selection (and odds that I do get in are less than 50-50 I think). plus complete the h3 coursework. and even after 7 out of 13 lectures I am still in no position to sit for the final exam - the questions are still rather incomprehensible. and I don't think I've learnt anything yet. argh. and still got all sorts of miscellany like reading geog books and rc stuff and mugging for CTs. blah.
but first I need to catch up on my sleep.
and stop procrastinating.
yay for conflicting objectives.
and singtel really hates me. and vice versa.

hmm must not let the blog die.
lol.
although I liked the previous post. especially the title. and I can't seem to come up with a decent title for this post.
argh it's already the wednesday of week 10.
so stuff to do over the hols
bridge camp fri/sat
chemO training at NIE mon/tues
h3 class response
h3 project [ugh]
mug for chemO selection
at least no CTs for me. yay.
but then again it's not like there's a lot to mug this time around - physics is just the usual round of definitions / formulae; chem is chem; math just need to revise the older pure math topics (summation - ugh); geog - human go grab points and examples while physical it's just everything that's been done this year. no irritating trivia on water management and conflicts and whatnot [which is in a sense good since I missed that set of lectures last year. plus it most likely won't appear this year for As anyway].
argh have an irritating headache now. which is probably why I'm not being very coherent at the moment.
neil gaiman is surprisingly good.
[yes I've managed to find time to read stuff like that when I still have clayden / shriver and atkins / keeler and wothers lying unread all over the house. plus an atmo book and some urban geog book]
tired.
shall sleep early for once.
lol.
