yay I'm posting again cos I'm still really bored.
but not that bored so I shall just talk about today and save taiwan for later.
I failed [or at least very very nearly failed] my geog lecture test. ugh.
cos the question was bad. but so was my writing and my phrasing and most of my paragraphs. eek. so I'm kinda worried for my promo now. especially since pop geog isn't as smokable as econ geog/globalisation. meh.
and I so cannot stand hydro essays. and speaking of which I'll get back my hydro essay on thurs which I think I flunked again due to poor time management and spending too much time writing crap. oops.
well today came to school for 2 blocks only ._. protected time was free. so stoned in the canteen for a very long time. but at least there were fun people to talk to like 6L and jy and the CO people and snao and his friend. and ziyang gave us a disgusting physics question that we spent close to an hour obsessing over.
and yet I still don't get it.
but it's physics! whee.
then it turned out that GP was a free block. cos he was on MC. but sadly that means I'll have no break on friday yet again. cos he's koping it to makeup ._.
ew.
so anyway spent GP slacking in the classroom. and since the bell was turned off thanks to J2 prelims most of us were very nearly late for the next period.
and then was geog which was bad as mentioned above. haiz.
then another break which was spent in canteen playing on clement's iphone lol.
then chem. which would have been fun just that wty goes damn slowly and keeps getting distracted. and people don't do their tutorials so when they go up to the board to present they do on the spot and take bloody long.
unlike me who doesn't do his tutorials but can do them on the spot very efficiently XD.
so we did like what 3 questions in 1 lesson.
[and physics we can finish half a tutorial in a period meh.]
then after that was off to RI to settle RC stuff.
got home about 715 and have been slacking ever since.
and it's a bit weird getting back into the full school routine. especially seeing how in week10 we didn't have tuesday or wednesday.

391/boredom
hmm this is like the first time I'm posting in ages lol.
mainly cos now I'm damn bored and I have nothing better to do. oh and I've been extremely bored/distracted these past few days. which is probably what led me to posting again.
anyways I've like spent monday tuesday wednesday thursday and saturday in school.
and it's like sunday night and like where the heck have all the holidays gone ._.
anyway I shan't bother giving a run-down of term 3 cos I think I'll get bored before half of it is over [and also cos I can't quite remember what happened - how the heck am I gonna do my promos if I've forgotten everything I wonder]. but I think I'll talk about taiwan like later.
or in a next post.
so anyway recap of the holidays - and that reminds me I can't remember what I did on saturday and sunday before the hols either. oh wait practice the piano - oops I took grade 7 on tues and totally messed it up [mainly cos I didn't finish learning one of the pieces lol]
yeah so sat/sun were boring. monday was wty in school. ew. and seriously phys chem is zzz. but at least he ended before 12.
can't remember what I did after that but I think it involved lunch atop J8. which was quite fun. oh wait that was thursday. monday's lunch was in the canteen. oops.
then I'm /guessing/ I went home but I'm not too sure.
[argh my memory is really really going]. so anyway yes monday after camping in the canteen for a bit I believe I went home.
oh yes chemO only started at 9am so what I did was come to school at 720 as usual [cos I'm lazy to take public transport] then spent a significant amount of time at the raja block sleeping. but the tables are not very conducive for sleeping but at least it isn't hot and stuffy like the RJ canteen. ew.
ok so tuesday came to school early again went to RI cos it was green game [for those who don't know what this is it's some humans club quiz-like thingy for primary school kids]. but anyway organisation total phailed so had do sort quite a few things out for them before running back to chem O ._.

then off to the piano exam, was a nervous wreck and messed everything up. will be a miracle if I pass lol.
then after that to hell with piano. for like the rest of my life. yay.
meanwhile I was intending to spend tuesday evening and the whole of wed rewriting WR in preparation for consult on thurs [and anyway anything that danieltay sends has to be rewritten e.g. he gave me a 1.2k word chapter 2 zzz]. then wwc and daniel decided to meet in school on wed so that totally cut short my sleeping time [intended to like wake up at what 1pm on wed or something lol].
went to school at 12 on wed for lunch. waited for wwc to show up. spent the time talking with the class [which just came down from physO lol] and watching other groups do last-minute work on their WRs in preparation for their consults in the afternoon [my group was the only one consulting on thurs - and incidentally was the first group for thurs which led to some interesting things as you'll see later].
then I realised I forgot to bring the copy of 2nd draft of the WR on which we'd taken down her comments from the first consult. so went back home and got it.
and when I got back the other 2 didn't get anything done at all.

so anyway we relocated from the canteen to comp lab 7 where she was consulting 3F [and very behind time already - 2 hours I think when I got there]. so did the writing there and it was somewhat productive if not for the fact that there was a consultation going on in the background and the other groups were doing either last-minute work or slacking or mugging chem in preparation for wty's NEXT org chem test on thurs [which I totally couldn't be bothered with cos there was the WR to do].
so anyway hezhiyuan's group totally dragged [and theirs was the first group from our class] so the other groups got pissed. and decided to buy dinner back [she was supposed to end all of the day's consults at 545 but like at that time she still had 3 more groups to go?] from J8.
and waichoong and I were happily camping in the complab still writing the WR. lol.
after about 630 the aircon in the complab failed. so after enduring the heat for a bit we relocated to the wishing well. so like she kept talking and waichoong and I kept typing while danieltay escaped to mug chem [but at least he paid us to zao ._.]
so eventually our dinners came [from people like tianran and matthew who went out to buy them] and most of us [i.e. the remaining groups] ate at the wishing well while she continued to talk.
so eventually she finished ziyang's group at 830. and still had one more group to go! [that group was supposed to have started consult at 5].
so most of us just left with ziyang's group. lol. then poor chew and matt were left consulting late into the night [apparently they were chased away by the security guards at 10pm].
but RJ at night is nice.
almost as nice as RI at night. [the admin block can get /really/ dark when you turn off all the lights lol]
anyway got home and continued typing the WR.
eventually got chapter 4 done at about 1. [chapter 5 just wrote crap]
then started skimming all of wty's advanced org chem stuff [i.e. copied down reactions and tried to memorise them].
ended up sleeping at 2 with nothing much going in.
went to school early again on thursday [this time for consult lol]. just that wwc was late so we started at 810 ._.
then basically it dragged until 930. but at least she liked everything just that she pointed out quite a few major flaws in the approach. but helped us fix them. yay.
so anyway our consult was supposed to have been 8 - 845 then we had 7B after us with their first group at 845 - 930. so effectively we ate up one group's slot.
so anyway what she then did was to tell 7B to tell everyone in their class to come an hour later. lol.
so that's like one hour's delay after the first group [out of 10!] for the day.
anyway wty's org chem test was supposed to start at 9.
lol.
anyway the advanced org chem test was utter bs [maybe cos I didn't bother/have time for mugging or anything] so yeah obviously it went very very badly. but whatever at least I got /one/ synthesis question [partially] right.
yay for unethical H2 reagents/conditions!
oh yes and I think I've already forgotten all the org chem [which isn't much really] I've crammed for that test. which means I'll need to re-mug.
ew. after promos. or maybe when I'm really really really really bored and also when I get around to printing all the notes. which will kill a lot of trees. seriously he's worse than OWL lol.
k so anyway after the test went to J8 for lunch. ah yeah now things are in the right order lol. so talked for quite a bit at that open space on the 3rd floor.
then went home and slacked.
friday went for some wedding. ate too much. then went home and slacked even more.
saturday somehow ziyang convinced me to start mugging for promos so went to school and met up with him and a bunch of 6L people [koh, chops, zhengyang and wei-jen]. so from 9 to 12 I tried my hand at some mugging that wasn't last minute for once.
and being extremely efficient in that time I managed to finish
1. my math assignment!
2. a handful of stoichio questions in that chem booklet. ok fine 2 of them
3. 4 P&C questions from the math revision set.
and yeah that's all.
spent the rest of the time talking lol.
but was quite fun.
then went for lunch then went back to school for an RC meeting then back home to do work i.e. slack.
then today again spent the whole time slacking online.
but at least I've read quite a bit this break. of like wikipedia.
and the online version of the new york times [sadly now they lock you out after a few articles and try to get you to sign up or whatever]. and I've done quite a lot of fb stalking too. lol.
and like now it's sunday night and I'm like where the hell did my holiday go.
my fingers are tired. and I think it took me about 45 min to type all this incoherent stuff lol.
now I'm bored again. yay.

ugh school [really] starts tomorrow.
and my PW is screwed.
and really I should be doing GP right now - owe him what either 14 or 16 articles. so actually I've spent the whole evening cutting up a month's worth of straits times. but haven't actually gotten round to writing the stuff yet. ugh. what a waste of time.
but then again GP is only on wednesday!
so tomorrow is just lecture spam - 4 lectures in a row in 4 different LTs whee.
anyway how were CTs...
chem was screwed cos I took 10 min to do the first 2 MCQs and then chionged the rest in 15 min then went back to redo the first 2 questions ._. I so cannot do mole concept MCQs ._. And I screwed up my first structured question. mainly cos I kept freaking out after the MCQ mess. oops.
so chem was quite sucky and I nearly ran out of time [cos I forgot the paper started 5 min late].
geog was bad - well physical was ok just that I didn't see the word formation in part b so I wonder if they'll take marks off for that. but human was utter rubbish mainly cos I was being incoherent and I didn't think through my essay and I was smoking a bit too much. and I ran out of time. yay.
math was decent. somehow I managed to get the probability right even though my method for 8iii was atrocious - it took up an entire page and involved fractions with 6 digits in the numerator and 18P6 in the denominator lol.
but after that disgustingly long working I actually got the question correct. hint it involved counting 6 cases with 6 fractions for each case. zzz.
and so far the only thing that I screwed up in math was writing 30.1 people and then deciding to cancel the .1 - but then again all but one person in the class wrote 30 ._. and I suspect some of my graphs were dodgy. but who cares.
physics was crap. cos I wasted too much time on the MCQs. but somehow most of my answers were correct except that I didn't quite understand how I got them. cos I meshed all the topics together. oops. but at least only got 2 wrong [I think]. structured was a mess though - forgot my definitions, screwed up the people standing on a cart question and the crane thingy - just placed the pivot in a convenient location instead of where it'd actually fall. lol. but it's physics! which I will never ever understand in my entire life! somehow I'm just able to do the questions ._.
ok oh but CT period is actually quite fun cos what I'll do is like go to the [RI] library which is nice and empty and quiet and has sofas like at 8am and then sit there and mug [on the same day as the paper of course]. and then maybe fall asleep. or read something random. so I'll be like in the library until 10 or 11 [i.e. when I get hungry] and then off to the [RJ] canteen and then camp there until the papers start. lol.
so friday woke up late went to school to help settle humans quiz then had a meeting with OWL then rushed down to dhoby for a post-CT dinner. which was quite interesting just that turnout was 7 [22 - 7 scholars = 15 locals - guo and ewan at training, 3 in MIT, lightbulb at IYPT and zhiyuan in sydney and danieltay who ponned = 7 lol]. so talked quite a bit and walked about. but was a bit stone. lol.
then saturday off to darren's house to work on SLA. then got home slept at 0045 then woke up at 0430 to send mr lu off at the airport. problem with me is that I cannot estimate times properly [which is why I'm usually either late or 20-30 min early for things - usually the latter XD] so I ended up at the bus stop at 0515. And the first bus was only supposed to arrive at 0537. anyway reached airport at 0610 thereabouts and ziyang came at 0620 so like since his flight leaves at 0845 we reasoned that they should be at the airport already - but no he only showed up at 7 ._. yay.
so after that went to darren's house for SLA again in the afternoon and stayed over. so got home about 11am today. and even though I slept close to 6 hours the previous night I ended up sleeping until 2pm or so.
ok then what did I do in the afternoon oh I read a book. then I spent the evening cutting out newspapers. when actually I should have been wrapping up the SLA stuff. which is still lying undone. and there's GP due on wed and yay I now have 5x chem lectures a week.
zzz chem O is now mon/wed/thurs. and like they condense/spam everything and wty expects us to do the tutorials and stuff. argh.

388 / i really should be mugging now but still
bah holidays are almost over.
and actually they've been kinda busy I guess.
so what exactly happened.
let's see first week was spent mainly on PW since I got abandoned by all my groupmates and ended up having a solo consult. so it was quite sian cos I spent like what monday - wed doing PW. ugh. consult was on wed at 4 but I switched to the 2pm slot. but then when I came at 2 she told me to come back at 3 and that all the groups would be delayed 1hr. lol. so I cleared my consult in 20 min and decided to watch everyone else. so like some groups dragged for 1hr which resulted in everything being delayed so like near the end she was what 2 hours behind? so only left school at 7. lol.
thursday can't quite remember what I did. friday was day 0 for camp. saturday was spent recovering from day 0.
camp was actually quite interesting just that could have been better as always. and yeah I kinda starved myself of sleep as usual. like what 330-6 for 2 nights in a row? I hate my insomnia.
so anyway camp ended late on wed [cos the debrief somehow dragged. oops.] then went for dinner thereafter and got home about 9.
the next day woke up very late. then went to darren's house for a meeting for SLA. so walked around harbourfront for quite a bit.
then on friday went to URA to meet people for SLA. zzz. after that went to school for geog.
saturday went to darren's house again to look at mount faber. and got home rather late.
sunday was for sleeping.
monday was for more sleeping. went to campsite to pick up some people and got home at about 10. oh and my parents went overseas. yay.
next day went for class outing. mario kart is fun but I'm quite horrible at it cos I keep falling down lol. but quite funny to get to clementi I took a bus to woodlands and then train down. then to get home I took a train to tamp and bus back. anyway class gathering was fun.
next day popped down to RI to check on interhouse humans quiz and run through their stuff. at the same time crashed OWL's makeup lesson for sec3s who were planning for their coastal fieldwork on friday [more on that later]. they were in the comlab facebooking. and they managed to persuade OWL to reset her password [cos that's her excuse for not using fb cos she says she forgot how to login] and yeah they made her approve their friend requests. lol.
thursday went back down to school to again settle interhouse humans. then afterwards went to ESRI for SLA consult. which went quite well. yay. just hope that I haven't forgotten everything
friday went with the sec3s to changi spit for fieldwork. just that they went at high tide. and I didn't bring a change of clothes [but at least I was wearing shorts] so I kinda got wet while taking the beach profile and stuff. but was quite fun. and we played cards on the bus as always.
sat went to orchard to count cars. XD
ok so that's 3/4 of the holidays gone. whee.
so now for the last week [which I should have spent mugging for CTs but nevermind] - went down to dhoby on monday morning for a meeting.
tuesday can't quite remember what I did. I suspect it was to stay at home and slack. but nevermind.
wed went to NIE [of all places] for some YOG training crap. was a waste of time really.
thurs had math mock CT in school [which was in the afternoon and I woke up at 11 so yeah effectively whole day wasted] - got 55/65 cos of a lot of stupid mistakes. bah.
friday woke up late again and then PW meeting. bah.
so yeah I haven't started mugging for CTs yet.
but at least this holiday is rather full [of irrelevant things but still]. so it wasn't that boring. and today woke up at what 12? and then spent the afternoon reading harry potter. oh yes I was so bored this week that I've read 6 out of the 7 books in the harry potter series. for fun of course. and it's nice light reading unlike geog notes. or physics for that matter.
so yes I'm pretty screwed for CTs. and I just realised how massive physical geo is already. damn.
so anyway this is what I intend to do:

mon - physical part 2 [cos I have no papers HA. but I'll be in school early anyway. at least I'll be less distracted there]

and actually they've been kinda busy I guess.
so what exactly happened.
let's see first week was spent mainly on PW since I got abandoned by all my groupmates and ended up having a solo consult. so it was quite sian cos I spent like what monday - wed doing PW. ugh. consult was on wed at 4 but I switched to the 2pm slot. but then when I came at 2 she told me to come back at 3 and that all the groups would be delayed 1hr. lol. so I cleared my consult in 20 min and decided to watch everyone else. so like some groups dragged for 1hr which resulted in everything being delayed so like near the end she was what 2 hours behind? so only left school at 7. lol.
thursday can't quite remember what I did. friday was day 0 for camp. saturday was spent recovering from day 0.
camp was actually quite interesting just that could have been better as always. and yeah I kinda starved myself of sleep as usual. like what 330-6 for 2 nights in a row? I hate my insomnia.
so anyway camp ended late on wed [cos the debrief somehow dragged. oops.] then went for dinner thereafter and got home about 9.
the next day woke up very late. then went to darren's house for a meeting for SLA. so walked around harbourfront for quite a bit.
then on friday went to URA to meet people for SLA. zzz. after that went to school for geog.
saturday went to darren's house again to look at mount faber. and got home rather late.
sunday was for sleeping.
monday was for more sleeping. went to campsite to pick up some people and got home at about 10. oh and my parents went overseas. yay.
next day went for class outing. mario kart is fun but I'm quite horrible at it cos I keep falling down lol. but quite funny to get to clementi I took a bus to woodlands and then train down. then to get home I took a train to tamp and bus back. anyway class gathering was fun.
next day popped down to RI to check on interhouse humans quiz and run through their stuff. at the same time crashed OWL's makeup lesson for sec3s who were planning for their coastal fieldwork on friday [more on that later]. they were in the comlab facebooking. and they managed to persuade OWL to reset her password [cos that's her excuse for not using fb cos she says she forgot how to login] and yeah they made her approve their friend requests. lol.

ok I'm sleepy but I realised that this blog looks pretty dead so yeah I guess I ought to update it.
oh wait the 25th seemed so long ago.
must have been GP.
anyway GP was totally disgusting. like the essay was total crap. mainly cos I didn't quite read the question properly. oops. so like the focus of the essay was totally off.
bleargh.
then the compre was like impossible [especially the summary]. and somehow now I'm taking longer and longer to do short-answer questions. maybe it's cos of his emphasis on 'accuracy' and whatnot. and the paraphrasing. bleh.
so that one was disgusting.
at least she extended the PW so I didn't die that badly after GP.
[yeah but I died once the hols started but that one is an extremely long story].
and I'm really sleepy now so I can get quite incoherent.
hmm so anyway after thursday which was like the last day of school - oh and I can barely remember what happened on thursday except that some idiot crashed the afternoon chemRA lecture but nevermind let's not go there I need to get this post done with - oh yes on thursday I brought 5 sets of clothes to school.
like uniform + PE + concert + for sleepover + friday outing.
cos our class had an outing-sleepover-outing thing. lol.
so what happened was going to kewei's guitar concert. but first yiyan and I stopped by to pick up some flowers after school while the rest took their time eating. then went to the guitar concert which was quite lol but in terms of music was ...
yeah but the audience was quite crazy. and some of the songs were nice.
so after the concert walked to lau pa sat to meet those who didn't go for the concert. and then went to eat some more. until we realised that we had better run else we'd miss the bus to hongen's house.
so we chionged to clementi and looked kinda silly running to the bus stop. where I discovered that the last bus left way past midnight [it was only what 1130].
so yeah went to chew's house then crashed. then started playing stuff like dota and cluedo [danielng is pro but I've got good eyesight XD] and [floating] bridge. and speaking of bridge I've never really played it in term2 so yeah I totally suck now. but floating bridge with contract-style dealing is fun. like me and ziyang going to 4 diamonds ._. so anyway played until about 3 or 4am.
then by right everyone was supposed to sleep. but then ziyang and zhiyuan and guo decided to start talking.
and I have insomnia so I listened.
then I drifted off to sleep at 5 and woke up about 20 min later. when they were still talking.
then I was in this half-asleep half-awake state for the next 30 min or so. then finally they decided to sleep. but problem is it was late 5am and my body clock was telling me that it was about time to wake up anyway. so in the end they slept but I didn't.
so I remained in this half-asleep half-awake state [but more awake than anything] until about 630 when it started getting kinda bright. then at about 720 when the sun came up chew's mom came in with the food and stuff.
so yeah I got up. cos I was lying down thinking like before that. and cos there was no point sleeping since I kinda decided to wake everyone up at 8 cos they were saying something about chew's family coming down and seeing a mass of dead bodies. and when ziyang and zhiyuan finally shut up it was 6am so to me there was no point in getting <2h of sleep.
and also it was in part cos of the body clock and my insomnia and whatnot.
so anyway yeah I had breakfast early. with yiyan who slept at 4. then talked for a bit while the rest slowly woke up.
and then had breakfast again.
then like spent the morning talking and planning for the outing to WCP. then like at about 10am we realised we had to leave an hour later if we were to get there on time.
and the whole house was a mess and most of us hadn't showered.
so mad rush to get out [and kewei left his roses on the floor overnight so they were pretty dead]. then we went to get food for the picnic at WCP. and zhiyuan and I got bottles of fun stuff.
then bus to clementi and then WCP. then yeah we screwed around and ate and everything. but noone brought a bottle opener so it was quite funny seeing zhiyuan try to open his bottle. in the end ziyang forced it open on a rock or sth like that. I used my school badge to prise mine open. XD
so yeah WCP was quite fun [and way better than ECP] until it started to rain. so bus to jurong east [but we didn't get off cos mr lu thought there was no shelter when actually I think there was based on what I experienced during SSEF] so we landed at bukit batok.
so I decided to take a train up to woodlands. and then bus back. and on the bus ride back I totally had no idea what was going on cos I was like totally gone. lol.
oh and after the whole outing thingy I ended up quite broke.
like cos on thursday morning I bought a packet of jellybeans. cos I was hungry. so I ended up finishing the whole packet before lessons ended for that day. and in that packet was 160% of my recommended sugar intake. oops.
oh and I ate breakfast in period 2 and lunch in period 5.
then there was dinner and then more food at lau pa sat. then there was still lunch and picnic food and ice cream at bukit batok. so like altogether I think I spent close to 30 bucks those 2 days. and that was excluding kewei's concert ticket ._.
but was quite fun though.

oh man I so should be mugging for GP right now.
but then again who really cares?
I need to get my blog up to date first. hmm.
ok chemO selection was a total disaster. like organic was total wtf. but physical was rather doable except for me forgetting Kstab and dG = -RTlnK. oops. and inorg was yay! except that I kinda messed up the crystal/ligand field splitting question. heh.
but whatever what's done is done so yeah.
and according to mr lu I should start mugging. and drop some of my commitments. but like mugging is totally lifeless. and really these outside commitments [RC, humans] are what makes JC life a lot more bearable/fun. and that's why I keep camping in the canteen during my free blocks and talking to random people instead of going to the library to do work which is totally overdue. and this is one of the reasons why I'm still not very close to 6I. way too mugger. bleh.
I miss 4H.
ok but actually 6I is rather decent [and of course I'd take 6I over 6L anytime. but I'm not too sure if I'd go 3E or 6I. cos 3E is a lot more fun with people like welras russell leonggen and a girl named brenda who's really a guy. so it's like why I sit with them during chemRA lectures.]
ok but before I get carried away let's go back to 6I.
CT reps are yay. and like the most involved monitors I've ever had in 4 years. lol.
let's see ziyang is very very different from what I thought of him in RI. like I used to think he was damn mugger/boring and all that [and I really still don't have that a good impression of the RIPB/council now]. but yeah he's actually a rather crazy guy and the CT rep who's been doing most of the work.
then the other CT rep aka the KI boy is immature. and retarded hence fun to laugh at. and laugh with [at ziyang's fails]. and he's also very noob at reversi.
hmm then who else. 4H people in 6I are nice as expected [matt, xiuzhen, ewan, danieltay]. and it's fun being racist and elitist with daniel. xiuzhen is as hilarious as usual just that thanks to GP it isn't as funny as it was with pat. ewan tries too hard but he's nice. matthew blinks! oh the only problem is with my PW groupmate waichoong - both of us keep fighting ._.
hmm from the 4F guys - danielng is nice just that he's like part 6L. lol. hezhiyuan is another crazy one. and he's very bitchy. chew is a nice guy and reliable. and good at counselling people. especially ziyang. kewei has a disgusting haircut. and he's fun to bully.
and the girls are all damn nice. and not bitchy. and like tianran is a very interesting character. XD
yeah problem is none of the fun people are in geog. and since geog periods always clash with econs [i.e. geog is free when econs isn't and vice versa] so my free blocks tend to be quite sian. and geog tutorials are also especially sian but that's enough material for another post.
also since the fun people take physRA [and the only physRP people in 6I are those who don't do econs ._.] physics tutorials are also rather zzz. but at least there are 2 people from 6K in my tutorial who program their GCs every lecture and tutorial. and my physics class only has 15 people. and I believe only 2 of these have english names.
ok so yeah it's a very mixed bag but yeah it could have been worse!
so yay. and like we have a lot of class outings.

hmm so anyway I've been ponning cos I've been going back to RI. i.e. the secondary one for those of you who think RJ is now called RI ._.
cos in case you didn't already know I'm helping out with RIRC [still]. and for those who knew me in like sec2/3 it's rather shocking I know. in fact come to think of it at times I still can't believe I'm actually going back to a CCA that .... [fill it in yourself]. yeah also I was training the geogRA sec3s for NUS GC [which they won. shockingly] for a large part of term1 and 2. in fact cos of RC and GC I ended up going for 42 hours without sleep on 2 days in the march hols. lol.
ok wait more about GC it's supposedly the most prestigious geo comp in Singapore [and yes the winner this year gets to go for the nat geo international thingy which is either in USA or sydney]. but IMHO the rigour of the competition has really dropped. so yeah although we didn't expect them to win [really] we were in part helped by how easy the last 2 rounds were.
oops.
but yeah it was a really fun experience camping in school until 9pm on most days teaching them geog. and getting all the food from OWL and stuff. and fyi this year's sec3 geogRA batch is proving to be worse than ours. I mean they're calling her mdm boey already now ._. and they've been flooding the OWL fan club.
geog in RI is so fun. unlike RJ. oh yes I need to bitch about that too. but later.

so anyway I kinda screwed up my CCA transcript and everything already cos I ponned too much of bridge AND oneearth so like no position whatsoever. yay. and of course I refuse to join any science-related CCAs ._.

ok nevermind let's just take things as they appear.
hmm so anyway I've been ponning cos I've been going back to RI. i.e. the secondary one for those of you who think RJ is now called RI ._.
cos in case you didn't already know I'm helping out with RIRC [still]. and for those who knew me in like sec2/3 it's rather shocking I know. in fact come to think of it at times I still can't believe I'm actually going back to a CCA that .... [fill it in yourself]. yeah also I was training the geogRA sec3s for NUS GC [which they won. shockingly] for a large part of term1 and 2. in fact cos of RC and GC I ended up going for 42 hours without sleep on 2 days in the march hols. lol.
ok wait more about GC it's supposedly the most prestigious geo comp in Singapore [and yes the winner this year gets to go for the nat geo international thingy which is either in USA or sydney]. but IMHO the rigour of the competition has really dropped. so yeah although we didn't expect them to win [really] we were in part helped by how easy the last 2 rounds were.
oops.
but yeah it was a really fun experience camping in school until 9pm on most days teaching them geog. and getting all the food from OWL and stuff. and fyi this year's sec3 geogRA batch is proving to be worse than ours. I mean they're calling her mdm boey already now ._. and they've been flooding the OWL fan club.
geog in RI is so fun. unlike RJ. oh yes I need to bitch about that too. but later.
ok what else hmm I can't quite remember most of term2.
and I need to shower cos I just got home so shall continue later.

383/I must be very bored
ugh school.
I've been slacking ever since I've gotten back from class camp.
so I haven't really done any work.
or anything that I've been wanting/planning/intending to do.
oops.
yeah so all things considered I'm pretty much screwed now.
like GP I owe him a lot of articles.
chem I can't bear to touch it. and it's not like I do my tutorials.
geog I'm so gonna die for economic geo. and yeah I'm not doing the essay practice cos I don't like the question and I'm too lazy to do it.
and physical has just so much to mug.
math is manageable cos it's just stats. and as long as I don't misread the question. and only if I don't screw up P&C [which is actually a very big if]
physics is incomprehensible as always but at least there's like no work for it. =D and speaking of which I can't seem to relate all the whole spam of topics like from kinematics all the way to work energy power they all seem very disjoint to me. argh.

PW is giving me hell.
and so is chem [cos I can't stand those problem-solving type questions]. and like now I'm expected to work hard. ugh.
physics is somehow doable if I have my notes in front of me XD
I've a bad feeling about geog - cos physical is just SPAM which I can't remember and human is rubbish. I wonder why.
math is alright but it's just stats.
no comments about GP as usual.
ok where did I stop the last time - orientation!
oh did I mention that my OG got like 2nd for ea. yay for geog skillz. and that reminds me we haven't even spent the prize money yet [I think]. but then again they don't read my blog so nevermind about that.
ok so like orientation day 4 getting our classes it was quite epic.
cos like we got our classes from OGLs in the hall and then like on the way to blocks ABCDE I like bumped into matthew and like what he's in 6I then all the PHYSICSRA guys also in 6I then I was like huh. you should know what I feel about physics XD.
so yeah anyway my class is like disgustingly overpowered. and we only have 3 girls! however it was like 1000x more mugger than 4H so I dunno at the start it seemed quite bad.
ok what else now after orientation... first few lectures were zzz. actually most of them are. and I screwed up the stoichio pre-test [cos it's math]. and yeah chemRA got invaded by PRC ._. so no more fun with siakpeng or whatnot.
yeah as you can see I really do miss RI life.
so subjects:
physics started really badly [the first topic [and lecturer] was a joke]. and my physics tutor at first was like quite incomprehensible. and it doesn't help that my physics class is damn zzz [most of the 6I people are in RA so the boring ones are in RP]. or that I never do my tutorials ahead of time.
and I seriously hate the lecture-tutorial system. cos like lectures you don't really learn anything from watching the lecturer read off the lecture notes. and the problem is cos I already know half the things the lecturer is saying [but not the other half] I don't exactly pay attention and I get distracted and all that. plus my mind has this tendency to wander off all over the place. so like at the end of every lecture I look at the tutorial questions and I'm like huh what the heck is going on. and of course tutorials are always behind lecture so like you're effectively doing 2 topics at once. [well now physics we've finished work energy and power tutorial while the lecturer is barely through with thermal 2 so...]
and yes I never do my tutorials. I like do them during the tutorial period itself like just before the tutor goes through that question ._.
and it doesn't help that physics is often so incomprehensible that I end up getting stuck.
and all my TYSs are rotting away in my locker.
oops.
yeah I'm damn lazy.
ok so anyway back to like post-orientation...
the lecture-only timetable was amazing ._.
and yay for all sorts of random class outings.
hmm take5 is overrated seriously though.
cos it's damn hot XD. and if you don't like sports there's nothing much to do. and our class was smart enough not to bring a groundsheet XD
and I think the OG kinda hated me cos I went with 6I then they saw me and danieltay was like "martin thinks you guys are stupid" ._.
stupid daniel.
but take5 was rather sianz.
so anyway after that to vivo for lunch [where we met the rafflesian spirit who incidentally takes 6I physRA] and then to ECP ._.
like from one beach to another.
cos like the scholars wanted to go cycling or rollerblading or sth.
so after a long journey we finally got there. yay.
and obviously I didn't cycle or skate cos I'd cause an accident. so just slacked and talked with yiyan and mr lu and like laughed at the rest who were well quite silly.
especially those on blades.
ok what else happened in feb/march... no idea really.
shall continue another time then.

380 [after 5 months]
gosh this is like the first time I'm like really free enough to blog.
ok fine I was quite free in jan but I can't remember what I did then.
well yeah this should by right be an extremely long post [to make up for the 5 months of inaction] but I kinda forgot most of the stuff that happened like in jan/feb/march and maybe even april.
oops.
can't remember what I did on new year's. or any part of january.
I suspect that there was a 4H chalet some time in january. which I went late for. can't remember why though. and can barely remember what I did then except for not sleeping for an entire night. oh I think I went late cos of some meeting - or maybe cos I missed one day of the chalet - can't remember - well anyway after that I distinctly recall having to rush back to school the next day and only sleeping like 15 min on the train between pasir ris and kallang. and btw that was during the holidays [i.e. that period of time between when RI starts and RJ starts].

so eventually after much pain I decided on PCMG. [which I'm not really regretting now come to think of it. except maybe I should have taken GELM. but yeah for a period of time I did consider transferring to S03E. oops.]
ok this blogpost is starting to get messy cos I'm like trying to condense 5 months of stuff into this thing.
yeah so anyway speaking of subject combinations I very nearly decided to do H1 german. but then like that'd mean I'd have to appeal for my H3 and considering my wonderful C6 in HCL I doubt that that will go through
oh yes HCL - 4H was the class with the most A2s in the whole level [I blame that on us being marked after 4E 4F and 4G which all had like a lot of A1s - I wonder why]. and I was after clement and junyang also ._. yeah so I got killed by baozhang. and it's damn funny considering how I got a B3 in prelims ._.
but YAY I PASSED CHINESE AND I DON'T HAVE TO SPEAK IT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!
yep haven't used any chinese in about 5 months. ordering food obviously doesn't count.
ok so now back to school - JIP was a total waste of time. like sitting in the MPH for hours on end getting bored to death by [useless] subject talks.
but at least I only signed up for one elective. which meant that I had most of JIP free [to go back to RIRC] anyway.
so anyway off to orientation - which was like HOW MUCH BETTER ORGANISED THAN THE RI ONES ._. [but RI orientation is a camp. which is unfair ._.] - just that with 60 OGs and over 1200 people yeah there are of course some problems [e.g. everything behind schedule] and all the games weren't exactly that great. but at least the ideas were quite ok. and the storyline was admittedly good. but rather disjoint.
ok now to the OG - seemed quite stone at first [and in fact it still is ._.] but yeah at least it's filled with nice people. yay. and my OGLs rock XD. but like the OG is kinda drifting apart I think. meh. but at least we still say hi to each other. except for a certain person from 4F/S03F who just disappeared after orientation. cough.
ok I'm getting bored of blogging now and there's really such a huge backlog to clear so yeah I'll move on to feb like the next time I decide to write XD.
